FAQ

What time is check-in and checkout?

Check-in begins at 4 p.m. and checkout is at 11 a.m.

What do I need to bring to check-in?

A valid form of government issued identification along with a valid form of payment, such as a major credit card, are required to check-in.

Can I request early check-in or late checkout?

You may request early check-in or late checkout by calling our Reservations Department at 901-529-4000. Based on availability, additional charges may apply. 

How do I checkout?

To checkout, please visit the Front Desk any time before 11 a.m.

Can someone else pay for my guest room?

Yes. We will need the person paying for your room to fill out a Credit Card Authorization form 72 hours prior to your arrival for processing purposes. 

Why is there an authorization on my credit card?

The authorization placed on your credit card upon check-in is for the total amount of your stay (room rate, taxes, Hotel Service Fee). We also require all guests to leave a minimum of $50 incidental deposit upon check-in. This guarantees that there are sufficient funds available to pay for any charges incurred during your stay, such as In-Room Dining or other amenities. All remaining funds will be released upon checkout. 

What is the difference in using a Debit Card vs. Credit Card?

When using a Debit Card, funds are charged in advance and any unused portion is refunded upon checkout. Refunds may take up to 20 business days depending on your banking institution or issuing country. When using a Credit Card, a hold will be placed on your line of credit. After your charges are settled upon checkout, the remaining hold is released. This may take up to 7 business days depending on your banking institution or issuing country. 

I booked through a third-party. Is everything paid for?

In most cases, all rooms and state taxes are pre-paid on third-party reservation sites. However, you will still be responsible for paying the daily Hotel Service Fee upon check-in. 

What is your cancellation policy?

To avoid the cancellation fee of one night room and tax, you must cancel at least 72 hours prior to your arrival. If you need to cancel less than 72 hours prior to your arrival, please contact us at 901-529-4000 or 1-800-PEABODY. 

What is the Hotel Service Fee?

The Hotel Service Fee is $13.95 per room, per night. It includes internet access thoughout the hotel, shoeshine, morning coffee in Peabody Deli & Desserts, bottled water in room, daily newspaper of choice, unlimited local and 1-800 calls, and Athletic Club and pool access.

How can I upgrade my room?

To upgrade your guest room, you may call our Reservations Department at 901-529-4000 or 1-800-PEABODY prior to your arrival or ask your Front Desk agent during check-in. 

Can I send a package to myself?

Yes, we offer package and box handling for our guests. For storage and handling purposes, we charge $0.75/pound or $10 minimum for boxes and $5/item for letters and envelopes. Packages should arrive no more than 3 days prior to your arrival. After 3 days, you will be charged $8/day for storage. The Peabody Memphis will not assume responsibility for the damage or loss of merchandise sent to the hotel for storage.

Is there free internet access?

Internet access throughout the hotel is included in your daily Hotel Service Fee. 

Valet Parking vs. Self-Parking?

Valet parking is $33/night and self-parking is $24/night in the Peabody Parking Garage. The parking garage is located at 118 S Second Street. 

Where is the parking garage located?

The parking garage entrance is located at 118 S Second Street. For Valet parking, turn left down the ramp. For self-parking, drive straight up the ramp. If you choose self-parking, you may conveniently drop your bags with a Valet Parking Attendant prior to parking your car. 

Do you have any electric vehicle charging stations?

Electric vehicle charging stations are in the Valet parking area. You will be charged $33 for overnight parking or $25 for the day. 

If I have a special request, who should I contact?

For any requests, please dial the main line at 901-529-4000. The operator will either pass your message along or connect you with the proper department. 

Where can I get coffee in the morning?

Hot and fresh coffee is available every morning in Peabody Deli & Desserts from 6 - 10 a.m. It is included in your daily Hotel Service Fee. 

What types of amenities are included in the room?

All rooms include a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, and bathrobe. Based on availability, coffee makers, microwaves, and refrigerators may be provided to your room upon request for a fee. You may also request a crib or rollaway bed. 

Do you offer Room Service?

We offer 24-hour Room Service. Dial x4230 on your guest room phone to order. 

Do you offer handicap-accessible rooms?

Yes, we offer handicap-accessible rooms. Please ask your reservations agent for more information when booking your room. 

What is your pet policy?

The Peabody welcomes pets with open arms and a few rules: 

  • Advance reservations are required as there are a limited number of pet-friendly guest rooms. 
  • We accept dogs up to 75 pounds. 
  • A one-time, non-refundable pet fee of $100 will be charged to the total room bill for cleaning. Included in your pet fee is a personalized pet biscuit, luxury place mat, water bowl, and waste bags. 
  • Pet shot records are required at check-in. 
  • Pets are required to be on a leash or in a closed carrier at all times when in public spaces. In addition, pets are not permitted along the red carpet at the daily Duck March or within the lobby between the hours of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., as a courtesy to our resident ducks. 

What time is the Duck March?

The Peabody Duck March occurs every day at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. We suggest arriving 30 minutes early to get a good seat and hear the Duckmaster's presentation, which starts approximately 10 minutes before the Duck March. 

What time does the Athletic Club open?

The Athletic Club is open from 5:30 a.m. - 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. 

What time does Feathers Spa open?

Feathers Spa is open 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday. 

Do you have a business center?

The Peabody's Executive Business Center is an official FedEx Office, fully equipped with state-of-the-art telecommunications and photocopying equipment, fax machines, computer and Internet workstations, and package mailing materials. Support services include pre-convention printing, binding, typing and more.
